YOOX
The Italian outlet giant is a treasure trove of impeccably well-made goods at deep discounts. If you want to get the most out of it, hold off until the 25% or 30% discounts drop. They will not always apply to all items, and sometimes require the purchase of multiple products e.g. 15% for two items, 20% for three items and 25% for four or more items, in my experience you can just keep one of the items and still get the maximum discount.
The Outnet
The other YNAP outlet (Yoox Net a Porter) is limited in selection, the discounts aren’t great, and you can frequently find the exact same item for a better price on Yoox. Iris & Ink is the private label.
Glamood
This is an Italian outlet that occasionally has hilariously good deals like a Cucinelli sweater for €120 after promotions. You will often also find current items as one-offs. Deals vary here, as with all others, stick around for promotions to kick in, 20% is the minimum I’d start buying from.
Otrium
Primarily a premium outlet, don’t expect any hidden gems, except Suitsupply at up to 60% off and Eric Bompard knitwear at up to 70% off. The company is part of Rue Gilt Groupe - but the Dutch startup now focuses exclusively on the European market.
Gilt / Rue La La
Once upon a time, Gilt and Rue La La were fantastic channels for excess luxury inventory that US-based retailers had to get rid of. With the rise of Saks 5th Off, Nordstrom Rack and others, the selection has thinned out, and you will often be hard pressed to find great items here.
iSuit
This is a Neapolitan luxury outlet, and I mean luxury. This is for the discerning consumer who buys luxury at all times and wants to save two grand on a $5k Kiton suit, or is looking for a Finamore shirt that costs $180 instead of $400, or a vicuna overcoat from Cesare Attolini for $7k instead of $18k.
